UK Community Thrives with Two Beautiful WOSA Gatherings in London and Edinburgh
With a vibrant and growing UK community, Woodstock recently hosted two wonderful WOSA gatherings – one in London and another in Edinburgh.
The London gathering brought together alumni spanning decades and offering a unique cross-generational mix. In contrast, the Edinburgh gathering was an intimate, cozy affair held at an Indian restaurant reflecting the warmth and camaraderie of our alumni network.
Over the past two years, the UK has seen a significant increase in community engagement thanks in large part to the dedicated efforts of the WOSA UK Committee including Shalini Bath ’89, Nikhil Chouguley ’98, Dalia Majumder-Russell ’01, Daniel Swarup ’19, and Navya Sethi ’20. Shalini Bath graciously hosted the London gathering at her residence and provided a wonderful atmosphere of connection and celebration.
This event was also a special occasion as it featured the presence of several Woodstock staff members, includingnewly appointed Director of Advancement and Alumni Relations, Dr. Naomi Maynard; Director of HR Anusha Tuli; Talent Acquisition Manager Sareena Pun; and Alumni Relations Manager Ady Manral.
Following the London event, Dr. Maynard, her husband and current school Chaplain Rev. Adam Maynard, and Ady Manral traveled to Edinburgh to host another gathering in this vibrant city. Edinburgh has become a popular destination for recent Woodstock graduates pursuing higher education in Scotland, making it a growing hub for WOSA members. The Edinburgh meetup was an intimate and delightful evening filled with great conversations and delicious Indian food.
These gatherings exemplify the strength and spirit of the Woodstock alumni community, and we look forward to many more such events in the future!
