Tuesday saw our running teams compete against schools in the Wynberg Allen Cross Country Invitational. The contest included five girls’ teams – Mussoorie International School, Tibetan Home School, Waverly Convent School, Wynberg Allen School and Woodstock – and four boys’ teams – Welham Boys School, Tibetan Home School, Wynberg Allen School and Woodstock. In all, 90 runners, 50 girls and 40 boys, took part in the event, making for still competition.

Both Woodstock teams did very well as Saira and Mehar finished first and second respectfully in the girl’s division and Abhishek, Egor, and Faisal finished fifth, sixth and eighth in the boys! Both teams finished a very respectable third overall in the team points.

Our runners are preparing for the Woodstock Cross Country Invitational this Saturday, 16 September, up at the Chakkar – arguably the highlight of the Mussoorie cross country season, and one where we have the benefit of home advantage!
