“The Curse of the Ancient Greeks”
Faris Nejad (Fardis Nouraninejad), Woodstock graduate, 1980 has recently received international recognition for the publication of his realistic contemporary fiction, “The Curse of the Ancient Greeks”, in two languages. (English and Greek).
He has had the honor for his novel to be one of the very few books selected to be produced into Greek Braille Code.
The work is scheduled to be translated into French, German and Persian and is currently being edited for alteration into a feature film script for the big screen.
The Curse of the Ancients is a contemporary novel, based and inspired by real stories and current events in a magical part of Greece.

Of course I am very excited about all this, Recently I received my first professional review featured in Kirkus literary Magazine, They have selected the work as “Best Books ’16” & this is what they say about the novel: “A sharp, witty, and often moving account of an ancient nation on life support.” They have compared my humor to the works of the author of catch-22.
I haven’t forgotten you Woodstock and this is the first paragraph of the author bio. in the book:
“.Faris is a sociologist & political scientist who has lived studied and worked in the birth place of three of the richest civilizations of the ancient world (Persia, India & Greece)…….At an early age his inquisitive mind took him to the foot hills of Mount Everest in India to attend an international school……
What I learned at Woodstock from my teachers, friends and colleagues in the community & my continued relation with all of you has contributed & shaped a big part of what I am & I think the author of catch-22 should be really proud to have been compared to me.
